Top: Parable of the Good Shepherd
Bottom: He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. (The Old Testament, Isa 40:11)
I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me and I lay down my life for the sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. (The New Testament, Jn 10:14, 15, 27, 28)
