Lesson 5

The six pictures below show a way of doing one kind of Spiritual-Moral Education for teaching the Bible to children’s classes and neighborhood Sunday School.

Top Right:
First line up outside the door to enter the hall
(1) Students follow a teaching assistant into the hall. The class monitor welcomes them at the door. The class secretary collects their notebooks.

Middle Right:
Enter the assembly hall to study singing and prayer
(2) To acquire a sense of respect, the students (Ch: little brothers) imitate the teacher (Ch: big brother) in standing, sitting, kneeling, folding hands, and so on.

Lower Right:
Line up to offer money to the Lord
(3) The treasurer stands in the front of the offering box as the teaching assistant leads students to line up in the hall and place their offering in the box, and then return to their seats.

Upper Left:
Students listen to the Bible stories in small groups
(4) Everyone puts their small stools into a semicircle facing the teaching assistant and listen to a ten-minute Bible story prepared by the teacher.

Middle Left:
Students freely express what they have heard
(5) Students sit in a semicircle facing outward, using their stools as the desks. They draw their own expressive drawing and receive their notebooks back from the secretary to stick their pictures in it.

Lower Left:
Students pray for the Lord to assist them in their determined behavior
(6) Every student prays for the Lord to assist them in doing what the Bible story moved them to do, and in their own expressive drawing for how they should act.
