Seal: Mark 12:30

Underneath the cross: As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

In the box: When the time had fully come, God sent his Son. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. God called us to a holy life–not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus. Being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death–even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.
Top：The Parable of the Sower

Bottom: Jesus told this parable: A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the air ate it up. Some fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown. This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop. The New Testament Luke: 8:4-8, 11-15
