The Lord Died for Me

A walled city, with the cross acting as the gate to enter

English Translation

On the cross: The Lord died for me. I died with him.
Gate of Salvation

In the gate: Overcomes sins
Forgiveness of sins

On the left: Raised up with the Lord and seated in the heavenly realm

Bottom left: Commit sin, Serve sin, Be condemned for sin

Words in the box: The wicked way: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” (Prov. 16:25) Commit sin: “There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.” (Ecc 7:20) “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way.” (Isa 53:6) Serve sin: When one first steps on the road of sin, it seems interesting and very happy, but it can only be “enjoyed for a short time.” (Heb 11:25) The pleasures of sin will soon become chains. Sinners cannot be set free by one’s own power. Just like Jesus said: “everyone who sins is a slave to sin.” (Jn 8:34) Condemned for sin: Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment. (Heb 9:27) “For the wages of sin is death.” (Ro 6:23) Gate of Salvation: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved”. (Ac 4:12) Forgiveness of sin: Fortunately, although God hates sin, he does not want to abandon us. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (Jn 3:16) The Lord “who had no sin” died for me. (2 Co 5:21) On the cross, “He himself bore our sins in his body.” (1 Pe 2:24) “through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.” (Ac 13:38) Overcome sins: Since the Lord “died for all,” his death counts as my death. (2 Co 5:14) Therefore, I “died to sin.” (Ro 6:1,2) “sin shall not be (my) master” (Ro 6:14) After Jesus died, he was raised to life and went up to heaven. The spirit of the resurrected Jesus lives in me and gives me the power to overcome sins and also grants me the heavenly life on earth. (Eph 2:6) This is the blessing of salvation now. When we see the glorious face of the Lord in heaven in the future, it will be a even bigger blessing, because “we will be like him.” (1 Jn 3: 2)
