The Two Hearts

Top: Blessed are the pure in heart.

Bottom: The heart that’s not right brings distress.

Right: The sinful nature yields bitter fruit and the old self will be charged for its wickedness.

Left: The Lord’s blood cleanses sins and the Holy Spirit transforms evil hearts.

In the red heart: New self – Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, truth, honesty, purity, hope (Galatians 5: 22-23)
Outside the red heart: Jesus loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood. (Rev 1:5) Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. (Heb 9:22) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 Jn 1:9) The Lord said I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. (Eze 36: 25-26) Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (2 Co 5:17)

In the black heart: Old self – hatred, distress, anger, haste, greed, evil, theft, arrogance, factions, falsehood, sexual immorality, fear (Galatians 5:19-21*)
Outside the black heart: From within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man “unclean.” (Mk 7:21, 22**) Those things result in death! (Ro 6:21) No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. (Jn 3:3) What counts is a new creation. (Gal 6:15) If we repent and pray to the Lord with a sincere heart, the Holy Spirit will turn hatred to love, distress to joy, anger to peace, haste to patience, and the like. Prayer: Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Ps 51:10)
