Small characters on the bottom: When rebuking the generation that didn’t believe in him, Jesus told the parable of children playing in the marketplace, using materials from Chinese life to make his meaning clear.
There are two groups of children in the picture, playing wedding and funeral respectively. When they called to other children to join them, they would not respond no matter what. Some people today would not be moved no matter how the gospel has been preached to them.
